Global manufacturer, Jinko Solar is to supply 40MW of its modules to a project in Chile.
Jinko is to supply 131,150 of its 305 Poly 72 high-efficiency PV Solar modules to engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), owner and developer of the Chile project, Chinese company, 8i S.A.

The project is to be located in the industrial zone of Valparaiso, Puchuncavi in Chile and should be complete by July 2015 with the delivery of the modules agreed for the end of this year, it is hoped project will serve as an example of generating clean renewable energy in the area
Xiande Li, chairman of JinkoSolar said: “While there is no feed-in-tariff policy or government incentive system for utility-scale solar project in Chile, the country is experiencing a strong increase in solar energy demand. We are very confident that we will be able to maintain our market leading position in Chile as we work to expand further into Latin America.”
