The deadline to enter this year’s Solar Power Portal Awards has been extended by two weeks.

A number of companies have contacted the team at Solar Power Portal to tell us that Intersolar Europe preparations caused them to miss the initial deadline. As a result, we are extending the deadline for submissions until 6pm on 16 June.

You can enter this year’s awards here.

Focusing on all areas of the solar industry, the awards recognise and commend good practice, professionalism, quality, safety and innovation, with the aim of being a marker of the brightest and best that UK solar has to offer.

Jerry Hamilton, director of renewables and energy solutions for Rexel, SPP Awards Ceremony Sponsor, said: “Rexel Energy Solutions is proud to lend its support to this prestigious event in the PV calendar, and would urge all those working tirelessly in the PV industry to take this great opportunity to shout about all the positive achievements and progress made over the past year in both promoting the benefits of quality solar installations, and making the technology available to an ever-widening audience.”

Have you installed a great project under the RHI? Organised a communication campaign that’s made all the difference? Or even a landmark installation on a public building? Get in touch and let us know. There are 12 award categories this year including new categories:

  • Installer of the year
  • Utility-scale solar farm (>10MW)
  • Project finance innovation

Awards are open to all companies involved in the solar industry.

This year’s award night will be hosted by writer and presenter, Kate Humble, don't forget to book your tickets in the meantime.
