Belltown Alpha Renewables has gained a third solar power plant to add to its portfolio.
Announced today, Belltown Alpha Renewables bought two new solar plants totalling 16MW. The plants were completed by Solarcentury who will also supply operations and maintenance.
The two projects are the 13.4MW project in Eynsham, Oxfordshire and a 2.6MW project in Horam, East Sussex.
Both projects were commissioned under the 1.6ROC regime. The Belltown Alpha Renewables total solar portfolio now totals 26.2MW.
Frans van den Heuvel, CEO at Solarcentury said they were pleased with the acquisition and will collaborate with Belltown Alpha again in future. Van den Heuval added the plants were constructed and connected, both under the 1.6 ROCs “despite the challenging conditions over the winter”.
Tom Hill-Norton, CFO at Belltown Power praised Solarcentury’s engagement with local communities and resilience and punctuality in completion despite adverse weather conditions including floods at the start of 2014.
Belltown Power and Alpha Renewables partnered up May last year to form Belltown Apha Renewables, the joint venture planned to build, own and operate small and medium-scale renewable energy sites across the UK.
