The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) hopes to fast track the implementation of contracts for difference (CfD) for solar from April 2015.

DECC is consulting on removing support for solar under the Renewable Obligation and forcing solar farms over 5MW to seek support under the CfD. However, DECC’s surprise announcement has left the solar industry with little time to get to grips with the policy.
