SNEC (2014) International Photovoltaic Power Generation Conference & Exhibition is holding a UK PV Investment Workshop on 22 May.
The side event reflects the UK’s growing importance in the global PV market which is currently the world’s sixth largest solar market and is predicted to displace Germany as Europe’s largest market in 2014.
The workshop is designed to help solar companies identify the investment opportunities and development potential of the UK PV market.
David Owen, CEO of Solar Media and a speaker at the event, commented: “Despite consistent goalpost changes from the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) the UK remains the most attractive European solar market for the next few years.
“The combination of sustainable market segments, ready access to finance and high quality standards is very attractive for new market entrants. I look forward to representing the UK market to Chinese investors again this year on the occasion of the SNEC in Shanghai.”
