Solar cell, module and system provider, Hanwha Q Cells has supplied modules for Lark Energy’s Ellough solar power plant claiming that the UK will now be its top market in Europe.

Hanwha Q Cells' director of sales for UK, Ireland and Scandinavia, Jonathan Goose predicted that the UK was “likely to become the No. 1 European PV market in 2014″.

The company joins a number of manufacturers and analysts expecting the UK to overtake Germany as the largest source of PV demand in Europe.

Hanwha Q Cells provided 58,000 of its Q.PRO-G3 series modules for the 15MW solar farm in Suffolk.

The Ellough solar plant was completed just in time to meet the UK's March 2014, support regression deadline, to bring clean solar energy to 4,400 homes.

Armstrong Energy arranged the finance for the project and Lark Energy’s sister company, Deepings Building & Plumbing Supplies provided inverters and cables.

Lark Energy connected 85MW before the ROC change.
