Renewable energy service company ESCO NRG Ltd. has successfully sold two UK PV projects totalling 23.5MW to Spanish energy supplier Gamma Solutions and North American PV developer SunEdison Inc.

Both sales were facilitated by Lennox Partners LPP, a corporate finance advisory firm headquartered in London.

Chisbon Solar Farm Ltd, a 12MW PV project scheduled to be built near Clacton-on-Sea, was acquired by Gamma. Construction is slated to begin within the next few months.

Jose Manuel Zorilla, CEO of Gamma Solutions, said: “The acquisition of the Chisbon Heath project is the first tangible step in realising our strategy to build 80MW of capacity in the UK market, both to hold for ourselves and for onward sale to investors.”

SunEdison purchased Norrington Common Solar Farm, an 11.5MW project scheduled to be built near Melksham, Wiltshire.

The sale of Chisbon and Norrington are the sixth and seventh transaction that Lennox has negotiated in the UK renewable energy sector.
