Viridian Solar is looking to take advantage of the upcoming domestic renewable heat incentive (RHI) with the launch of its new Highline solar thermal panel for pitched roofs.
The Cambridge-based manufacturer claims that the Highline product was designed with aesthetics at the forefront, sporting a frameless design, signle-welded absorber sheet and clear glass. In addition, the company claims that the matching black casing and mounting rail further elevate the aesthetics of the product.
Stuart Elmes, CEO of Viridian Solar believes that the introduction of the domestic RHI will really help drive demand for solar thermal, especially on-roof systems. He explained: “Retrofitting situations are the most likely to favour an on-roof installation, and this is a market that we are anticipating will be significantly boosted by the domestic RHI.
“Highline solar thermal panels have the same ideals of aesthetic design and simplicity of installation as our Clearline range.”
In addition to improved aesthetics, the panel’s ‘gravity-lock’ system is claimed to simplify installation further, as panels can be slid into the lower rail to align correctly and ensure a durable hydraulic connection between panels.
Viridian Solar’s Highline panel will be available from 1 February 2014.
