Hanwha SolarOne has announced that it will be supplying Belgian solar developer Ikaros Solar with 11.5MW of modules.

The modules will be used for a solar farm project in Norfolk and will be delivered in January and February this year.

Commenting on the deal, Yves Devis CEO at Ikaros Solar said: “In Hanwha SolarOne, we have found a partner that can ensure both high quality and financial stability. The PV modules from Hanwha SolarOne have demonstrated high performance and durability in our past projects.”

Work on the 11.5MW solar farm in Norfolk is expected to start this month, with the company aiming to connect the project to the grid by the end of March 2014 in order to beat the upcoming drop in Renewable Obligation support for large-scale solar.

Laurent Bodin, director of sales France and Benelux at Hanwha SolarOne concluded: “The partnership is based on mutual respect between two reliable companies that share the highest quality requirements. We look forward to contributing to more successful Ikaros projects in the future.”
