U.S. solar photovoltaic (PV) inverter manufacturer Solectria Renewables, LLC (Lawrence, Mass.) and Yaskawa Electric Corporation (Kitakyushu, Japan) on July 17th, 2014 announced that the companies have reached a definitive agreement whereby Yaskawa Electric will acquire Solectria Renewables through its U.S. subsidiary, Yaskawa America Inc. Solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturers are still conservative about market demand even though the result of the US-China anti-dumping preliminary verdict will be announced soon, TrendForce's (Taipei, Taiwan) EnergyTrend division reports. These circumstances have led to weak demand in July, and slow stock clearance have led to high inventory levels within the overall supply chain.
