The IND Solar Farm project partners on December 22´nd, 2014 announced that the second phase expansion of the IND Solar Farm at the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is now fully operational. The 7.5 MW AC, 86-acre solar photovoltaic (PV) plant is comprised of 32,100 sun-tracking panels, which will annually produce more than 15.2 million kilowatt hours of solar power, enough to supply more than 1,410 average American homes for a year. Kyocera Corporation (Tokyo, Japan) and Century Tokyo Leasing Corporation on December 22nd, 2014 announced that Kyocera TCL Solar LLC, a joint venture established by the two companies, will develop and operate a 13.4 MW floating solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant on the Yamakura Dam reservoir, managed by the Public Enterprises Agency of Chiba Prefecture in Japan for industrial water services. Ontario Power Authority to offer 330 solar PV FIT contracts as part of the extended FIT 3 procurement

The Ontario Power Authority (OPA) is offering 332 new Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) renewable energy contracts. These contracts for 330 solar photovoltaic (PV) projects and 2 bio-energy projects represent 100 megawatts (MW), enough electricity each year to power almost 13,000 homes. “The FIT Program continues to generate strong interest among power generators as well as communities across the province. The FIT contracts we are about to offer represent significant investment in Ontario and in our electricity system.
