MegaCell, RCT Solutions ink development and licence agreement on bi-facial polycristalline PV technology

(Carmignano di Brenta), owned by Mega Group, and RCT Solutions GmbH (Konstanz, Germany), which develops state of the art solar cell technology, on December 22nd, 2014 announced the signature of a co-development and license agreement for the technology transfer in favour of MegaCell for the industrial production of polycrystalline bi-facial solar cells. Meyer Burger Technology Ltd (Baar, Switzerland) on December 19th, 2014 announced that leading Asian solar cell manufacturers continue to embrace the proven, industry-tested and mass production-capable MB-PERC upgrade solar cell technology. The orders received in the last few days and weeks means that the production capacity for cell equipment at the Technology and Product Centre at Roth & Rau AG in Hohenstein, Germany is already at full capacity all the way into the second quarter of 2015. AEG Power Solutions, a global provider of power electronic systems and renewable energy applications, together with the Spanish utility Iberdrola, and the Spanish innovation foundation Tecnalia, developed the prototype of a new battery energy storage station. It includes latest innovations of the company and constitutes a reference for some of its leading-edge equipment, such as its wireless battery management system, its storage converter and its Local Monitoring Unit, which will be field-tested for the first time in this project, AEG Power Solutions reports in a press release. Duke Energy Renewables (Charlotte, N.C., US), on December 19th, 2014 announced that it has acquired a 20-megawatt (AC) solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., from Geenex and ET Solar Energy Corp.
