The United States Department of Commerce will announce its decision on whether or not to proceed with the investigation on January 22nd, 2014. Hanergy (Beijing) subsidiary Apollo Solar became the “clear” world solar photovoltaic (PV) equipment market leader by revenue in 2013, according to a report by NPD Solarbuzz Inc. (Santa Clara, California, U.S.). Solarbuzz notes that 2013 was an extremely difficult year for PV equipment makers, with only USD 1.73 billion in ingot-to-module and thin film equipment sales.
