On March 4th, 2013, Abu Khader Group announced the installation of a 25 kilowatt (kW) grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) system at the company's office in Mecca Street, Amman, Jordan. The solar array was installed by "Mustakbal clean tech". It is part of Abu Khader Group?s group's to contribute in the enhancement of renewable energy and environment friendly projects in Jordan. Walmart announced that SolarCity (San Mateo, California, U.S.) has installed photovoltaic (PV) systems with a combined capacity of more than 4.7 megawatts (MW) on 12 Walmart stores and Sam's Clubs throughout Ohio. Altogether, the PV installations will produce about 6,000,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of solar power, enough energy to power more than 820 homes. Panasonic Eco Solutions North America (Secaucus, New Jersey, US) and Pristine Sun LLC (San Francisco, California, US) have partnered to build 50 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in California over the next 24 months, as the first phase of a portfolio build-out. The companies plan to begin construction on the USD 150 million in PV projects in late 2012, and to sell the electricity generated by the plants to Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E, San Francisco, California, US) when complete in 2014.
