NPD Solarbuzz (Santa Clara, California, US) has issued a new analysis which states that cumulative global solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity is likely to double from 2012 to 2015 to over 200 GW. Senior Analyst Michael Barker notes that while the 2012 PV market did not grow as much as many hoped for, it still set a new record for annual installations. Centrosolar AG (Munich, Germany) has released provisional results for 2012, reporting a 22% fall in revenues to EUR 227 million (USD 292 million), despite a slight increase in module shipments, and a loss of EUR 89.4 million (USD 115 million). The company plans to dispose of its glass division, which reported lower volumes and prices and brought EUR 12.6 million (USD 16.2 million) in losses during the year. Centrosolar notes that the operational and financial restructuring which it implemented in February 2013 will continue, and the company is planning an extraordinary shareholders meeting to propose measures to improve its capital position.
