Cencorp Corporation (Virkkala, Finland) has chosen Mikkeli, Finland as the location of its fully automated solar photovoltaic (PV) module factory. Ekotechnik Czech (Prague, Czech Republic) plans to invest EUR 400 million (USD 530 million) in the construction of 160 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Ukraine. The company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Khmelnytskyi Oblast Administration outlining its intentions. The North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA, Raleigh, North Carolina, US) has released a report which finds that increased renewable energy and energy efficiency will save electricity to customers in the state by USD 173 million by 2026. "The Economic, Utility Portfolio and Rate Impact of Clean Energy Development in North Carolina" also found that clean energy development brought the state 21,200 net jobs from 2007 to 2012.
