Brazilian state approves 123 MW of solar PV projects through auction

The Brazilian state of Pernambuco has approved six solar photovoltaic (PV) projects totaling 123 MW, in the nation's first solar-only auction. This is six times Brazil's current installed PV capacity of roughly 20 MW. Developers will be paid an average of BRL 0.229 (USD 0.097) per kWh for electricity generated over 20-year contracts, 8.5% less than the initial price of BRL 0.25/kWh. Read more

ReneSola plans to sell 60 MW of solar PV plants in Western China

ReneSola Ltd. (Jiashan, China) has signed a memorandum of intent to sell three solar photovoltaic (PV) plants totaling 60 MW to Jiangsu Akcome Solar Science & Technology Co. Ltd. (Jiangyin, China).
