Skytron Energy (Berlin) reports that is has retrofitted a telecontrol interface for its power plant controller on 700 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in Germany, enabling plant owners to receive a financial bonus from the grid dispatcher. In 2012, Germany's feed-in tariff was amended to include an option for electricity trading, and in January 2013 a financial benefit for exchange-traded renewable power was introduced. GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd. (Hong Kong) has closed on the issue of USD 200 million in convertible bonds due 2018 to PA International Opportunity III Ltd. (British Virgin Islands). The company expects proceeds of USD 193 million from the sale, which it plans to use to strengthen its cash position. The bonds will initially convert to GCL-Poly stock at USD 0.403 per share.
