Ontario Power Authority opens new feed-in tariff window, releases rates

The Ontario Power Authority (OPA, Toronto, ON, Canada) on November 4th, 2013, announced that it is now accepting applications for small Feed-in Tariff (FIT) projects with a proposed capacity of more than 10 kilowatts (kW), and generally up to 500 kW. The OPA will award up to 123.5 megawatts (MW) worth of contracts as a result of applications received during this FIT application period. This includes the 2013 Procurement Target of up to 70 MW plus 53.5 MW remaining from the previous application period. Read more

Enphase revenues, shipments climb slightly in Q3 2013 as margins improve

Hanergy orders 5.25 GW of CIGS solar PV manufacturing equipment

Hanergy Group (Beijing) has altered supply agreements with subsidiary Fujian Apollo to include 5.25 GW of copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing equipment. The equipment will be based on technology gained through Hanergy's acquisition of CIGS PV makers Global Solar Energy, MiaSolé and Solibro. Honda to close Honda Soltec CIGS solar PV subsidiary
