New NRDC crowdfunding campaign to install rooftop solar PV systems on schools

Natural Resources Defense Council (New York, NY, U.S.), an international non-profit environmental organization with more than 1.3 million members, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to support a new initiative to help schools purchase and install rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The NRDC campaign initially seeks to raise USD 54,000 through the crowdfunding site Indiegogo to help three to five to-be-determined schools move forward with solar rooftop projects. Read more

Znshine Solar (Jintan, China), on October 22nd, 2013, announced its intention to expand into the US solar photovoltaic (PV) market. Conergy to build a 672 kW solar PV plant at a University in Pomona, California

Conergy AG (Hamburg, Germany) contracted a 672 kilowatt solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant for Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona (California, U.S.). This project has been financed by a third party: Conergy’s utility partner Washington Gas Energy Systems, Inc. (McLean, Virginia, U.S.), with whom the company has already executed other solar PV projects in California and New Mexico. Read more
