The Renewable Energy Association (REA, London, UK) has responded to Great Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron’s pledge in Prime Minister’s Questions to “roll back some of the green regulations and charges that are pushing up bills”. REA’s response comes after the Government’s climate change advisory body published an analysis, demonstrating that low-carbon policies account for only 2,9% of energy bill increases overall and 33.3% of the ‘green levies’ on that bill.
