ECN unveils n-type PV cells in China

On January 2nd, 2013, ECN (Petten, Netherlands) announced that it has introduced its n-type photovoltaic (PV) cells at the China solar grade silicon and photovoltaic power generation conference (CSPV) in China. The PV market is dominated by solar panels based on p-type silicon, with the second technique, n-type silicon, being less developed, ECN emphasizes. However, n-type is generally considered to be the future for the PV industry due to its better performances, the company states. Read more

Religious group wins USD 150,000 grant to install PV systems at 6 congregations in Indiana

On December 14th, 2012, Hoosier Interfaith Power and Light (H-IPL, Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.) announced that it has received a USD 150,000 grant from the Indiana Office of Energy Development for solar photovoltaic (PV) system installations at six congregations in Bloomington and Indianapolis.
