Conergy commissions three PV plants in Greece totaling 1.5 MW

On January 23rd, 2013, Conergy AG (Hamburg, Germany) announced that it has completed three solar photovoltaic (PV) parks in Greece totaling 1.5 megawatts (MW) for the solar companies Diasindesi SA and Photovoltaika Karditsa Ltd. Conergy acted as main contractor for the first two solar projects each with a generation capacity of 500 kilowatts (kW) in Livadia in the province of Viotia. Read more

SolarCity introduces homebuilder partner program

On January 21st, 2013, SolarCity (San Mateo, California, U.S.) announced its ?net zero? model concept to the homebuilding industry at this year's International Builders Show (IBS), hosted by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The New American Home, designed by Blue Heron, runs on solar power generated by 56 solar photovoltaic (PV) panels that create more energy than the home needs in a year, the company states. Read more
