On January 9th, 2013, ArrayPower (Sunnyvale, California, U.S.) announced that its Sequenced inverter has completed and passed all certification tests required for use in solar photovoltaic (PV) installations across the United States and Canada. Duke Energy completes 10 MW Black Mountain Solar Power PV project in Arizona

On January 9th, 2013, Duke Energy Renewables, a subsidiary of Duke Energy Corp. (Charlotte, North Carolina, U.S.) announced that it has completed its 10-megawatt (MW) Black Mountain Solar Power Project near Kingman, Arizona. The utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) project, located in Mohave County, consists of 42,000 photovoltaic panels and is Duke Energy Renewables' 13th wholly owned commercial solar project. NREL creates interactive tool for a cleaner energy future

On January 9th, 2013, the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) announced that it has created an energy analysis tool to help individuals and educators experiment with future energy use scenarios. The interactive Buildings, Industry, Transportation, Electricity and Transportation Scenarios (BITES) allows users to explore how changes in energy demand and supply can impact carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and the current U.S. energy trajectory.
