Ellomay Capital Ltd. (Tel-Avis, Israel) on July 3rd, 2013, announced the successful closing of the purchase of two photovoltaic (PV) plants in the Veneto Region of north Italy. Immediately prior to the transaction, Ellomay received bank financing of EUR 13.5 million. The final purchase price of the PV Sites was adjusted to EUR 23.5 million to reflect payments made to the seller from the companies that own the PV plants since the transaction cut-off date (September 30th, 2012), Ellomay notes. The Institute for Applied Ecology eV (Freiburg, Germany) has released a report which predicts that the renewable energy surcharge (EEG surcharge) in Germany will rise EUR 0.008 in 2014 to EUR 0.061/kWh (USD 0.079/kWh). In “Outlook 2017”, the Institute also forecasts that the surcharge will stabilize after the removal of accumulated deficits in recent years.
