In the most optimistic forecast by a major market analyst to date, NPD Solarbuzz (Santa Clara, California, U.S.) predicts that solar photovoltaic (PV) demand will increase 36% in 2014 to reach 49 GW. The company also forecasts that the quarterly global PV market will grow above 12 GW for the first time in the fourth quarter of 2013, with two-thirds of demand coming from China, Japan and the United States.
