Sunday, 5.13.2012 - 22:46 (Solarserver)
On May 9th, 2012, independent solar module test lab PV Evolution Labs (PVEL, Berkeley, California, U.S.) announced that it launched a new certification program, PID Certification, to raise standards for solar photovoltaic (PV) module quality and reliability industry-wide. The PID (Potential Induced Degradation) Certification gives solar module manufacturers and project developers a deeper understanding of how products hold up against degradation from system voltages, a common cause of reduced performance and module failure, PVEL states.
