TUEV validates performance of PV modules made with Enlight Polyolefin Encapsulants

On February 29th, 2012, Dow Chemical Co. (Midland, Michigan, U.S.) announced that TUEV Rheinland validated the performance of crystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) modules made with ENLIGHT Polyolefin Encapsulant Films. Based on accelerated damp heat test results power loss in panels using more traditional films occur after just 2,000 hours. Chinese PV producer JinkoSolar opens office in Canada

On February 29th, 2012, JinkoSolar Holding Co. Ltd. (Shanghai, China) announced that it has opened its newest office in Ontario, Canada. The company also teamed up with local manufacturer Heliene Inc. to produce solar modules in Ontario. It will satisfy Canada's local content manufacturing requirement and ensuring a shorter time-to-market for the company?s products, the company states.
