SMA to Power 110 MW Catalina solar PV project in California; EDF Renewable Energy selects SMA MV power platforms for its largest utility-scale project

In continued collaboration with renewable energy developer EDF Renewable Energy (San Diego, California, U.S.), formerly enXco, SMA (Rocklin, California, U.S.) will supply Medium-Voltage Power Platforms for a 110 MW AC solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Kern County (California, U.S.). The project, which will be EDF Renewable Energy?s largest utility-scale solar project in the U.S. to date, is scheduled for Phase I commissioning in December 2012. Electrovaya to supply battery storage to accompany renewable generation at telecom sites in India

Electrovaya Inc. (Toronto, Canada) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Environ Energy Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. (Kolkata, India) to supply lithium ion battery-based storage solutions for renewable energy installations for telecom applications in India. Under the MoU, Electrovaya would supply renewable energy management solutions across the 15,000 telecom towers that Bhaskar plans to build in India.
