DOE offers online training for residential solar inspectors

On October 1st, 2012, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced a free online training program for building and electrical code officials performing inspections for residential photovoltaic (PV) installations. The Photovoltaic Online Training (PVOT) program will help establish a consistent and streamlined PV inspection process in jurisdictions throughout the country, saving time and reducing costs for consumers.
