Draker PV monitoring, control solutions gets California ISO certification

On October 15th, 2012, Draker (Austin, Texas, U.S.) announced that it has expanded its solar photovoltaic (PV) site monitoring and SCADA control solutions to include an integrated California ISO (CAISO) validated Remote Intelligent Gateway (RIG) and CAISO-compliant weather stations. The expanded Draker solutions have been certified to meet or exceed CAISO requirements for meteorological data accuracy, data processing, data communications and network security, the company states. Yingli Green Energy hosts innovation day event for DuPont Photovoltaic Solutions

ET Solar signs MOU with Denmark-based EnergiMidt

Upsolar unveils "smart" PV modules with Tigo optimizers

Upsolar (Shanghai, China) has unveiled a new line of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules that incorporate Tigo Energy Inc.'s (Los Gatos, California, U.S.) power optimization technology. The companies note that these are the first "smart" modules certified by TÜV Rheinland (Cologne, Germany) for European and North American markets. Tigo's optimizers are based on impedance matching technology to increase the power harvest of individual PV modules, as well as mitigating performance challenges related to soiling, shading, module mismatch and temperature differentials. Upsolar states that these smart modules are suitable for residential, commercial and utility-scale PV plants. Read more

Solarcentury donates GBP 35,000 to African solar light campaign
