Construction begins on 9 MW PV plant in New Jersey, largest rooftop PV plant in U.S.

On June 21st, 2011, Gloucester Marine Terminal Inc. (Gloucester City, New Jersey, U.S.) announced that it has begun construction on the largest roof-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in the United States at 9 MW at a refrigerated warehouse on the Delaware River in New Jersey. The company has partnered with SunPower Corporation (San Jose, California, U.S.) on the Riverside PV project, which will use 27,528 SunPower T5 Solar Roof Tile modules. Read more

PVNavigator implements second lease option with County of San Bernardino for a solar PV facility

The County of San Bernardino and PVNavigator (PVN), part of the Project Navigator (PNL) group, signed a lease option agreement, which will see PVN assess the potential development of a solar PV facility at the Barstow Sanitary Landfill in Barstow, California. Bosch plans new solar manufacturing site in Malaysia covering the entire PV value-added chain

The Bosch Group (Stuttgart, Germany) wants to further expand its photovoltaic (PV) business and is planning a new manufacturing site in the Batu Kawan region in Penang, Malaysia. With a planned investment of some EUR 520 million, the construction project for the new manufacturing site is reportedly one of the biggest in the company's history, Bosch emphasizes in a press release. ?With this investment, Bosch is moving further along the path of internationalization it has already set for its photovoltaics business,? said Franz Fehrenbach, chairman of the Bosch board of management, in Stuttgart (Germany). Etrion contracts Phoenix Solar to build 2.6MW PV plant in Italy

Etrion Corporation (Geneva, Switzerland), an independent solar power producer, and Phoenix Solar AG (Sulzemoos, Germany) a leading photovoltaic (PV) system integrator listed on the German TecDAX, announced a new agreement to build a 2.6MW solar power plant near Nettuno in the Lazio region of Italy.
