(Shanghai, Chine), a vertically-integrated solar power product manufacturer based in China, on April 28th, 2011 announced that it has entered into an agreement to supply a total of 50 megawatts (MW) of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to BULL PowerTech GmbH, the new solar business segment of BULL Holding AG (Lenzing, Austria), a worldwide provider of photovoltaic (PV) technology, PV supplier and producer. On April 27th, 2011, Lincoln Renewable Energy LLC (LRE, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.) announced that it has closed an agreement to sell Macquarie Energy LLC (Houston, Texas, U.S.) electricity and renewable energy credits (RECs) from a new 10 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant. SEMI's PV Group and the China Photovoltaic Industry Alliance (CPIA) have released a white paper on recommended policies and goals for solar photovoltaic (PV) generation in China. On April 28th, 2011, ReneSola Ltd. (Jiashan, China) released unaudited financial results for the first quarter of 2011, reporting USD 328 million in revenues, a decrease of 15.1% from the previous quarter. The company also exceeded its guidance with 243 MW of solar wafer shipments. "Despite a relatively cautious market in terms of demand, we delivered a good set of results in the first quarter of 2011, especially in terms of gross profit margin and operating margin," said ReneSola CEO Xianshou Li. ReneSola has released its unaudited financial results for its first quarter 2011, which ended on March 31. Overall, the company saw its solar shipments, particularly module shipments, and its net revenues take a downturn during the first quarter. Q1 revenues were reported at US$328.2 million, which did fall within previously released ReneSola guidance, but was also a 15.1% decrease from the US$386.4 million posted in the fourth quarter 2010.
