Helios opens doors of its Wisconsin manufacturing facility

Milwaukee?s Menomonee Valley is the new home for Helios USA?s new manufacturing facility, which officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony today. Helios, who states that they are the state?s first manufacturer of high-performance solar modules that can be used in residential, commercial, industrial and utility-based solar projects, is already manufacturing panels and shipping them across the U.S. from its new Wisconsin facility. Suntech named a Global Leader Award winner by Murphy&Spitz

Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure have jointly created, with CarbonFree Technology, BrightRoof Solar, which will focus on financing, developing, owning and operating rooftop solar energy projects in Ontario. JA Solar agrees to supply 110MW of PV products to Solar-Fabrik

After JA Solar supplied 70MW of PV products to Solar-Fabrik in 2010, Reuters reports that the two companies have recently agreed to extend their relationship and have JA Solar provide over 110MW of its PV products to Solar-Fabrik in 2011. The news comes just off the heels of Germany?s announcement that it had recently passed a law to cut solar power subsidies by up to 15%. A decision which, according to Reuters, has led Chinese companies like JA Solar look to decrease its prices in order to help drive up volumes. Read more

AZUR Solar opens UK office, visitor and distribution centre

Reports surface that Soliant Energy is halting operations

According to greentechsolar, Soliant Energy is in the process of looking for someone to acquire the company and has gone as far as letting most of its full time staff go. The company has experienced several CEO changes over its lifetime, along with US$29 million in venture capital funding, a name change and product remodels.
