Transmission is the talk of the town right now with various plans under discussion that could see a radical transformation of Europe’s electricity transmission system. These moves are being prompted by the realisation that if Europe is to meet its 2020 targets to increase its share of renewable energy to 20% of the total, a major contribution will have to come from renewable energy generated electricity.
