On December 20th, 2011 Verengo Solar (Torrance, California, U.S.) announced that it has become the leading residential solar photovoltaic (PV) installer by both total installations and total sales volumes in the U.S. state of California in November 2011. In making this claim, the company cites data released by the California Solar Initiative. PV and solar heating in Maryland: Solar Energy World boosts system sales in 2011; adds 40 jobs to local economy

On December 21st, 2011, Solar Energy World (Elkridge, Maryland, US) reported that it doubled its revenues in 2011 and added 40 jobs to the local economy. Solar Energy World on own account is the region's leading installer of commercial and residential solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and solar hot water systems. The company installed more than 300 solar electric and solar hot water systems in 2011, more than double what was installed in 2010, Solar Energy World reports. Northern Lights Solar Solutions offers new Polysun software package for solar hot water heating systems

On December 20th, 2011, Northern Lights Solar Solutions (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) announced that it launched a new customized Polysun Software package in partnership with Vela Solaris (Winterthur, Switzerland). Polysun Software enables the installer to run easy professional and accurate simulations when it comes to planning and selling solar hot water heating systems.
