KDC Solar closes on USD 70 million credit facility for PV projects in New Jersey

On December 13th, 2011 KDC Solar LLC (Bedminster, New Jersey, U.S.) announced that it has closed a USD 70 million revolving credit facility with Prudential Capital Group (Chicago, Illinois, U.S.), which will be used for the construction of non-utility solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Through the facility KDC Solar will be able finance construction of multiple projects simultaneously, and can re-use funds for new projects following repayment of construction loans. Read more

New Jersey: NJR Clean Energy Ventures to expand solar PV leasing program in 2012

On December 14th, 2011 NJR Clean Energy Ventures (NJRCEV, Wall, New Jersey, U.S.) announced that it will extend its Sunlight Advantage solar photovoltaic (PV) leasing program to an additional 500 customers in the U.S. state of New Jersey in fiscal year 2012. NJRCEV notes that it has recently completed its 350th residential PV installation through the program, and states that for the first time in 2012 it will be offering 15-year leases. Read more

PROINSO launches campaign to supply PV to rural areas without electricity

On December 13th, 2011 PROINSO SL (Fustiñana, Spain) announced that it has launched a social media and corporate social responsibility campaign to donate solar photovoltaic (PV) supplies to build PV plants in rural areas where residents could not otherwise afford them. For every click received in PROINSO's "Solar Energy Solidarity" campaign page on its Facebook site, the company will donate 1 watt of PV for the development of one or more PV plants featuring the accumulated watt peak power. Through the campaign, PROINSO will also solicit the opinions of visitors as to which activities should be supported. Read more
