Renewvia Energy, PSE&G complete 1.26 MW solar PV plant in New Jersey

On October 5th, 2011, Renewvia Energy Corp. (Atlanta, Georgia) and Public Service Electric and Gas Co. (Newark, New Jersey) have inaugurated a 1.26 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) system located at a state-of-the-art distribution center at the Northport Industrial Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The USD 9 million solar system is located on the roof of a high profile, Class A distribution center developed by Industrial Developments International Inc. (Atlanta, Georgia). On October 5th, 2011, SunPower Corp. (San Jose, Calif.) announced that it expects to begin construction on the 25 MW McHenry solar farm in Modesto, Calif. before the end of the year. Construction of the solar photovoltaic (PV) power project is contingent on the receipt of all remaining building permits, and is expected to be completed and operational by the second half of 2012. The solar project received unanimous approval by the Stanislaus County planning commission on September 15th, 2011. The SIV-3028 Handheld Solar Curve Tracer is a 30A, 28V solar cell analyzer designed specifically for personnel in the field. It is small, light and easy to operate with a graphic display that shows the IV curve of the solar cell or panel as well as environmental light intensity in watts per meter squared.
