Satcon Technology delivers over 48 MW of PV inverter solutions to Southern California Edison

On October 11th, 2011, Satcon Technology Corp. (Boston, Massachusetts) announced that it delivered more than 48 MW of its PowerGate Plus 500 kW solution for Southern California Edison's Solar Photovoltaic Program (SPVP). Under the SPVP program, Southern California Edison plans to install, own and operate up to 250 MW of solar generating capacity over the next five years, of which Satcon was awarded 75% of the inverter capacities. Magnolia Solar novel cell design to exceed PV performance limits

On October 11th, 2011, Magnolia Solar Corporation (Woburn, Massachusetts, U.S.) presented research on a novel solar photovoltaic (PV) cell design which it says can exceed the traditional limits on PV cell performance. The company presented "Probing the Radiative Limits of III-IV Quantum Wells" to the 220th Electrochemical Society (ECS) Meeting and Electrochemical Energy Summit in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.
