A roof usage agreement has been struck by S.A.G. Solarstrom with an unidentified European logistics firm for multiple commercial rooftop installations totalling 23MWp. S.A.G. Solarstrom said that installations would begin in early 2011 with all installs connected to the grid by the end of 2011. The projects are all based in Germany. Evergreen Solar was awarded the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) certificate from the United Kingdom’s British Board of Agrément, demonstrating that the company’s ES-A series panels meet the requirements for solar projects under the Renewables Cash-Back-Scheme. The Cash-Back-Scheme, which started in the UK this past April, pays homeowners and communities that install low carbon electricity for the power they generate. Solar projects must use MSC certified panels that are installed by MCS accredited installers in order to qualify for the funding.
